lionheart-magazine-issue-2 LIONHEART LIONHEART LIONHEART LIONHEART lionheart LIONHEART LIONHEART LIONHEART LIONHEART LIONHEART lionheart 2012-07-13 14.11.21 LIONHEART LIONHEART

Happy Friday lovelies! We've been very busy here at Tea & Crayons headquarters, getting on with lots of lovely illustrations and cosying up from the rain (rain in July?!) I wanted to share with you what I've been up to, that is receiving a rather lovely package in the post, only to find it's the new issue of Lionheart, which I illustrated the cover for. Hooray! I've been in love with Lionheart from the start, so it was a complete honour to be asked by the lovely Hels to illustrate the cover  ♥ ♥ ♥

Lots of treats in the new Lionheart, including pieces from lovelies The Aviary, Shipshape Studio, crayonette and beautiful mama Fritha, super sweet illustrator Madi Barrett, the lovely Olivia from whatoliviadid, lovely illustrators Holly Exley and Daria Hlazatova, our very own wonderful Abby Wright as well as beautiful photography, amazing written articles and lovely illustrations ♥ A massive thank you and high five to the amazing Hels Martin, editor and creator of Lionheart ♥ You can also still get your lioness/ lion paws on the delectable issue one: bravery, which is just as beautiful and if you haven't already get your mitts on the new issue

Have a fab weekend lovelies, what are you all up to?

Fritha at Paperchase!

We have the most exciting news to share with you today at Tea & Crayons! Fritha's illustrations can now be found in Paperchase - in the form of cards, mugs, snow globes and more! Amazing! And the perfect Valentine's Day gift, I'm sure you'll agree.

It all began when Fritha decided to send a couple of her Valentine's Day designs to Paperchase in the hope they may be interested in using her illustrations on some of their merchandise. They obviously loved her style and thought her work was perfect for them. The illustration below was the final design they chose. It's instantly understandable why they wanted to purchase this illustration - the delicacy, the adorable character, the wonderful use of colour and the oh so cute heart balloon. We love it!

The following images, taken by Fritha, show her illustration brought to life in various products. I cannot wait to see them for myself. You can read Fritha's post about it here.

My personal favourites are those beautiful hand warmers, I need to get myself a pair! We're very proud of Fritha and perhaps we will see more of her illustrations at Paperchase in the future.. We certainly hope so!

Hello from Fritha and Lionheart pics

Hi Tea and Crayon friends! Fritha here, I'm sorry its been so long since I've posted, I am coming up to being six months pregnant and have baby brain in a major way :)
I thought I would share with you some recent illustrations I did for
Lionheart magazine. We at tea and crayons HQ are super excited about this up and coming magazine so it was lovely to be part of the first edition. The first illustration is for a piece on Pat Albeck who is a pretty amazing lady if you've never heard of her before, I cant wait to read what she has to say.
The next illo was for a Temperley piece, I was in love with the dress so it was a pleasure to work on. As you can see two quite different types of illustrations! I'm usually a big fan of strong bright colours so it was a challenge to draw something more floaty and feminine but I think it worked out well :)
Hope you like! xoxo

Full Steam Ahead

Over the weekend the lovely Abby came to Bristol to visit me (Fritha) and we had lots of fun. I just had to show Abby one of my favourite gallery's in my home city, the Here gallery :) There were lots of zines and postcards from some of our favorite artists and gave us lots of ideas for future Tea and Crayons publications!
We also got to see the Tom Frost and Teresa Murfin exhibition which was stunning! Here are some pics:

Tigerprint Hand Drawn Competition: Our Entries

Hey Crayonettes! Hope you've all had lovely long weekends and haven't been working too hard! We were back at work today and it was a bit of a shock to the system!

Some of us spent our bank holidays wisely by lending our typography talents to the monthly (ish) Tigerprint competition; this month the theme was Hand Drawn which of course suits us all very nicely!
