Rachel's thoughts on the importance of Personal Style

Hey T&C fans. Hope you've all had a great weekend... they go so fast don't they? Sunday night again :(

This weekend I've been thinking a lot about Personal Style, what it means, and how important it is. It's been on my mind because we're gearing up for a big promotional campaign, and I've been thinking about how to sum up my work with one or two great, strong images. It's harder than you think.

I wrote a blog post all about my thoughts over on my personal site - click here to have a read of my thoughts on style, and let me know your thoughts on the subject. I genuinely want to know people's opinions, it's a tricky one I think.

“A personal style is like a handwriting—it happens as the byproduct of
our way of seeing things, enriched by the experiences of everything around us.”

Hey Rachel, have just read your post - it's great and really struck a nerve with me. I feel exactly the same as you. However I did develop a 'style' as such in my third year, but once I had got the degree I wanted I realised that the look of the work wasn't what I wanted to be.
Since finishing uni I think I've began developing something recognisable but nothing on the level of Sandra Dieckmann, Julia Pott, Jamie Mills - those sorts of people, which - like you - is how I want to be.
I'm racking my brains about imagery for the postcards to get done this week... I hope something clicks for me - and you!
